Gathered memories that build my life

Things we are Loving this January

January may be chilly, but it’s also a time to find joy in the little things. This month, I discovered a few new favorites that made life easier or just a little brighter. Here’s my January roundup:

1. London Fog Obsession

I’ve recently fallen in love with London Fog tea—it’s officially my new obsession! The combination of Black Tea, frothed almond milk + Honey, and a touch of vanilla is so comforting on chilly mornings. To make it, I use a loose-leaf teapot and a hand frother (an old one I used for Protein shakes back in my fitness days) for perfectly frothed almond milk. It’s become a little routine that brings me so much joy. If you’re a tea lover or trying to get off of coffee, I highly recommend giving it a try!

2. Indoor Fun things for Toddlers

Cold weather has meant more indoor playtime, and our sensory table (1st Birthday Gift) has been a lifesaver! My daughter loves exploring different textures, and it’s such a fun, screen-free activity for her. If you’re curious about setting one up, I’ve linked my post on sensory bin ideas [here] and the one we use is also a chalk board so it has multiple uses. Sensory bins don't have to be fancy and there is no need to purchase a full table if you have storage totes or buckets around the house. If you have tips for toddler-friendly indoor activities, let me know in the comments!

3. Quiet Mornings with Books

We’ve started a new tradition of implementing “quiet time” during the first hour of the morning. My daughter and I play quietly in her room and read books together. It’s such a peaceful way to start the day, and it allows us to bond while easing into the morning. If you’re looking for ideas to build a morning routine with toddlers, I’d love to share more in a future post.

4. A Favorite Family Meals

Pinterest has always been my go-to but there are 2 tried and true recipes that I keep coming back to, check out these recipes for easy dinners for busy moms. (My toddler, though an anomaly when it comes to vegetables, she's loved them!)

5. Decluttering Closets

January has also been about reorganizing key areas in our home in preparation for Moving in March. I started with the master bedroom closet, focusing on donating clothes I no longer wear and separating items by season to make it easier to find what I need. I also tackled my daughter’s room closet and bathroom, donating clothes she never got to wear and items we didn’t end up using. It feels so freeing to clear out space and start fresh. If you’re planning a decluttering session, start with small spaces—it makes a huge difference. Just starting has already relieved an immense amount of stress.

  • These have been huge for packing so far:
